THIS THING RIPS!!!! Just received this from WeldersDepot today. Burned some excalibur 7018 rods and the arc was comparable to the miller 8-packs at my welding school! Definitely runs hot so I had to turn down the amperage a bit. Sound is very manageable and the machine is so user friendly. This machine is underrated and is the only good DC engine driven stick welder under $2,000. Lincolns version costs more and its AC only so who wants that! The miller bluestar is a nice comparable machine but it’s way more $ and the only real difference is a Kohler engine. The champion 145 also has miller coils which is a nice plus.
